The New Zealand onions (from Pukekohe) are boiled down for hours so it's naturally thickened (without the use of a thickener).
Quick Meal Idea: Peel and half 4 carrots and 4 parsnips. Toss veggies lightly in oil and roast until soft (about 30 minutes at 350F). Just before serving toss the vegetables with a tablespoon or two of Onion Balsamic Marmalata. Delicious!
Quick Appetizer Idea: Place circles of frozen puff pastry in greased cupcake tins, cook until golden. Fill with feta cheese and onion balsamic marmalata.
