Bitter Sweet, Haraaz Coffee and Heilala Vanilla Sugar

We've paired two trade aid products for this bitter sweet combo. Haraaz coffee is from the rocky mountains of war-torn Yemen. These beans are part of a project to connect Yemeni growers with International coffee consumers, building a sustainable industry for the community. The beans are grown at high altitude in dry conditions, resulting in a slow growing plant and forcing the beans flavor to fully develop. We roast the beans in small batches in the USA. Heilala Vanilla began as a trade aid project in Tonga to rebuild the community of Vava'u after a cyclone devastated the region. Heilala pure Vanilla Organic Sugar is a rich blend of raw organic sugar delicately infused with pure vanilla extract and mixed with very finely ground vanilla bean powder. Sprinkle over freshly baked cookies, cakes and muffins or add a teaspoon to your Haraaz coffee for a sweet vanilla hit.
