Brent and Shyr created Forty Thieves only a few years ago, and they've already captured the hearts of New Zealand's nut butter lovers. Just this year they've won a gold at the Outstanding NZ Food Producers Awards (for their Salted Macadamia with Maple and Vanilla Bean); a Bronze at the New Zealand Chocolate Awards (for the Hazelnut Crunch with Organic Cocoa) and 1st place in the Farro Fresh Most Deliciousness Award.
Shyr has a creative marketing background, and Brent, FMCG research. Their complementary skills combined with a common passion for exercise and healthy eating are clearly the secret formula for creating nutritious nut butters with epic flavors.
The Hibiscus Coast couple only source quality non-GMO ingredients and where possible, spray free options like their NZ grown Macadamias and sulphate-free whole Almonds. Forty Thieves uses only natural, premium ingredients and never use preservatives, additives, refined sugars, artificial colors or flavors to any of their products because we believe Mother Nature has done a pretty good job already. All of Forty Thieves products are gluten and dairy free.
Each nut butter is packaged in glass jars where up to 90% of the glass used already been recycled. Metal lids are used over cheaper plastic alternatives and the NZ-made labels are printed on FSC approved paper.
The Forty Thieves name is inspired by an adventure packed tale, filled with hidden treasure and enchanted caves. Just like the Forty Thieves adventure, each jar of nut butter is packed with hidden gems: protein, heart-healthy fats, fiber, vitamins, minerals and so delicious they'll make you happy.
